Callahan State Park is an 820-acre day use area located on Millwood Street in northwest Framingham. Callahan has seven miles of marked trails and is used for activities including hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. Within the park are nearly 100 acres of open fields.
For more information, call the State Department of Environmental Management at (508) 653-9641 or visit their Callahan web page.

In case of emergency, call 911.
What I'd like to do is set up a way for volunteers to post messages to the site for the public -- trail under repair, signage replaced, etc. -- and set up a private page for the volunteers with everyone's email addresses and contact info. I can set up a mailing list, too, so people don't have to remember all the addresses to put in the "To" line.
I'd also like to do a "Top Ten" list of the best spots in the park -- Beebe and Eagle ponds, Michele's "Magritte Trail," etc. -- with a photo of each and directions for reaching them. Maybe we could encourage people to spread out a little instead of congregating by the dog pond.
If anyone has ideas, let me know, and send along your favorite photo. (Or bring 'em to the meeting!)
And of course, we'll post
